Why Attachment Matters
Preschool in Austin

Researchers have found that attachment patterns established early in life can lead to a number of outcomes. For example, children who are securely attached as infants tend to develop stronger self-esteem and better self-reliance as they grow older. These children also tend to be more independent, perform better in school, have successful social relationships, and experience less depression and anxiety. Cherry, K. A. (2006). Wonder Years has attained ENDORSEMENT through the First Three Years; an organization that supports the social emotional development of infants and toddlers through high quality training and education opportunities.   This endorsement along with various affiliations and partnerships demonstrates Wonder Years’ commitment to the well-being of your child.

Researchers agree that there are three basic ways to support healthy brain development:

  • Good prenatal care
  • Warm and loving attachments between young children and adults
  • Positive stimulation

Wonder Years Preschool focuses on the latter two categories. Wonder Years’ Premier Infant Program includes incorporating approaches and activities that support attachment. Warm, loving, responsive care and nurturing activities are at the forefront of our program.
