Full Program

{Name:1},

Wonder Years’ programs are unique in many aspects. Our first unique feature is that we focus on your child’s needs as an individual; no one size fits all here. We can do this because our second feature is our LOW RATIOS and GROUP SIZES. Within each classroom we maintain ratios that equal National Accredited standards. The final feature I will highlight is our approach to child development. We go outside the box in helping your child acquire school readiness skills. Why? Because we believe that Experiences Shape who we become. For example, we cover steam (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) just like most facilities, but we have an EXCLUSIVE outdoor steam classroom that incorporates nature. Nature is a living organism that will always provide teachable moments because of its randomness.

Our Small Infant program focuses on providing RESPONSIVE CARE which is proven to be a huge factor in appropriate brain development. We can accomplish this because we offer a 3 to 1 ratio versus many other facilities that have multiple groups of children in a room. The standard ratio may be maintained however, the rooms can get quite busy & noisy. Physical development is a primary focus.

Our Large Infant/Toddler program focuses on language development through verbal and non-verbal communication. Narration of care, or saturating the environment with language, provides the avenue in which we develop communication. We continue our focus on physical development as children begin to walk and feed themselves.

Our Preschool program focuses on your child acquiring skills for peer/social interactions. A key to accomplishing this task is getting your child to understand their emotions which leads to improved self-regulation skills. Biting can be a huge problem during this stage of development, so our focus is on ensuring your child has communication, and self-regulation skills. Potty-training is another skill we focus on during this stage of development.

Our Pre-K program is the final preparation before attending school. Our goal is for each child to be school ready and life prepared. Along with incorporating core Kindergarten readiness skills in our program, we focus heavily on your child mastering self-regulation skills. Self-regulation skills are vital to success in school and life. We provide many tools to assist with this including meditation.

Our Afterschool, Spring & Summer Camp program focuses on college readiness. Social interaction and self-discipline are primary focuses. We also teach that fun and relaxation are important to a well-rounded individual. We include field trips and a variety of club options.

Having a healthy lifestyle is very important to us. We include the Health Education for Youth curriculum, yoga, and meditation in our age appropriate classrooms. We provide nutritious meals including a vegetarian option.
